Coal barges on the Monongahela
Ike in the fountain
A project that I'm very excited about is taking my camera to sites that were formerly occupied by the huge steel mills that lined the Monongahela and Ohio rivers here in Pittsburgh. These places, even in their present state, inspire awe, respect, sadness and a reminder of the fleeting character of human undertakings.

I
'm indebted to the Regional Industrial Development Corporation of Western Pennsylvania, the office of Allegheny County Economic Development and the Rivers of Steel National Heritage Area from all of whom I've received invaluable cooperation. They are not responsible, of course, for my editorial remarks.
